Other Work Experience:
I worked as a political organizer for the U.S. Public Interest Research Group from July 2009 to November 2010, after which I returned to school in St. Louis and recently transferred to the University of Cincinnati.
My job was to train student governments and other student organizations to recruit and manage volunteers, run political campaigns and register young voters on their college campuses.
This position allowed me to earn incredible communications experience, as well as teaching me administrative skills such as managing interns, volunteers and full-time staff.
HobbiesOne of my hobbies is reading, which is something I encourage every student to pursue. I try and show each student how, no matter what they choose to study, finding time to read will increase their intelligence and aptitude for success.
I absolutely love the outdoors and try and find as much time as possible to hike, camp, swim and fish.
I enjoy politics, and even though I chose to pursue engineering after working in politics for a year and a half, I avidly follow politics and policy news.
I play guitar, and I was in a blues band while earning my first bachelor's degree at the University of Mississippi.
