Student helper: I did not previously tutor, but I did work as a student helper through my 2 upperclassmen years for my Spanish teacher Mrs. Wilke at Walnut Hills High School. My duties included grading some of the classwork, helping with lesson plan ideas (occasionally) and a few times Mrs. Wilke let me teach the class. My ACT score composite score was a 29: 30 English, 26 Mathematics, 33 Reading, 28 Science. I want to be a tutor because I love to teach others. Both of my parents are collegiate English professors at NKU and as such I grew up around my parents giving me detailed lectures. I learned how to structure my teaching methods from watching them. I have taken a class (SPI 402) in Spanish Phonetics and pronunciation that helps greatly with the acquisition of Spanish pronunciation. I received the Premio de Oro for 98th percentile on the 2011 NSA (National Spanish Exam) 2013 Faculty Senate Scholarship winner at NKU (full tuition for the child of 1 faculty member)

Hobbies

I was a year round swimmer for 7 years of my life from age 9 to 16, I do not really swim anymore but I am very much fitness oriented and spend around 6 days a week either going to the gym or working out in some way. I spend a great deal of time outside at parks, nature preserves or green areas. I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking (when I can) and many other outdoor activities. I am very interested in living a healthy lifestyle all around, which includes constantly researching facts about food in general and specifically about the food I'm putting into my body. I like to always be finding a few healthy recipes to try in the kitchen. Lastly my devotion to studying foreign language goes beyond just school, it is one of my most avid hobbies. I'm always studying and reinforcing my Spanish and Arabic. I also study many other foreign language to a lesser extent, including bits of Mandarin, Russian, Hebrew and Modern Greek
