I graduated from Wright State University magna cum laude with a BA in French. I'm currently a grad student at the University of Arizona studying French.

Experience

I spent 2009-2010 teaching ESL in France and tutored ESL in my spare time. I'm currently teaching two sections of French 102 at the University of Arizona. I've been a teaching assistant while doing my undergrad and taught a homeschool French class to 3rd and 4th graders. I taught a Summerbridge French class to middle school students two years in a row. I have experience teaching all age levels.

Hobbies

I like to bring popular culture in the classroom to make the language and the culture more accessible. My ESL elementary school students last year loved watching clips from Sesame Street. My ESL middle school tutoree watched episodes from "Boy Meets World" in order to improve his ear for American accents. We'd watch a few minutes and then he'd explain in English what he understood. His grades improved the equivalent of two letter grades during our time together.
