I believe that when a teacher enjoys the subject they are teaching, their students will have a more enjoyable and effective learning experience, which is why I tutor subjects that I enjoy. I am interested in tutoring history (especially European), anthropology, English, Russian (I spent one and a half years living in Russia), social sciences, social studies, and standardized test prep. I have discovered that I am able to easily connect with students and develop relationships that are productive to learning. I am a substitute teacher for the middle and high schools in Mason City. Currently, I am in the school counseling graduate program at Xavier University, and will be finishing up this December. In addition, I have attended Miami University at Oxford. I enjoy reading about European and Soviet history in my free time. I also like to walk my dog.
