As a retired principal and former National Science Foundation Consultant, I enjoy offering tutoring services in all core subjects and test preparation for students from grade 3-adult. The greatest satisfaction in my career has been to see students gain confidence in their learning ability and to revel in their academic accomplishments. As a tutor, my successes with students of various academic needs include improvement in grades, OAA scores, organizational skills, and attitude toward learning. I implemented numerous innovative instructional models and Best Practices during an award-winning career in Catholic and public schools, and bring that knowledge and those skills to each student that I tutor. Professional writings during my forty year career include parent-student and staff handbooks, public relations/development materials, and many successful award proposals/grant applications. Will provide references and current FBI and BCI background checks. I enjoy playing tennis, reading, attending theatre, keeping current on various political and environmental issues, and hiking in local parks and mountains in North Carolina and Tennessee.
