Last year, I worked as a Student Development Manager at an elite after-school program in South Africa. There, I tutored and mentored high school students, focusing on English essay writing and math. Prior to that, I counseled Cincinnati Public School students on postsecondary options, college application essays and scholarships. I believe that it is very important in tutoring to offer a supportive and engaging environment, while making the content digestible.
