Experience
I am an enthusiastic tutor who can teach a wide range of topics, but my favorite topics to teach are English, philosophy, reasoning, and literature. I am a proud graduate of Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, as well as minors in Spanish and philosophy. I am perpetually learning more about my specialty topics, and have been a passionate student since my time in college. While at Ohio State, I tutored immigrant adults through the Columbus Literacy Council, and worked with a range of people from those who had never spoken English to those who were at a high school level of proficiency. I believe I can adapt well to a number of different methods of teaching, but I like to use a conversational and visual method, and tying the lessons to things that happen in the real world for better understanding. I am qualified to prepare students for a number of different tests, including (but not limited to) the GRE and GMAT verbal, LSAT essay and reading comprehension, and PCAT verbal and writing tests. When I'm not teaching, I like to travel, hike, listen to music (preferably live), work on creative writing, and learn about sustainable agriculture.
