Experience
I am a tutor who has experience teaching English as a second language. I'm the most passionate about tutoring ESL, writing, literature, and Japanese, but I'm available to help students in a variety of subjects. I also do work with students to prepare them for standardized tests, and I can help people enhance their studying and organizational skills. I began working towards my career as an educator at Northern Kentucky University, where I received my degree in English Education and a minor in Japanese Language and Culture. I am currently enrolled in the Teacher as Leader program at Northern Kentucky University where I plan on earning my master's in ESL Instruction. On top of pursuing my master's I am working as a reading and ESL teacher of kindergarten through twelfth grade for a charter school. I believe that learning should be fun, and that by making subject material more engaging and stimulating students are more likely to remember it. I use a variety of methods to accomplish this. I value education highly, and I want to impart this value into my students. When I'm not teaching or tutoring I enjoy reading fantasy books, arts and crafts, poetry, spending time with my cats, and relaxing.
