Education
I received a Bachelors in Psychology from John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH. I am currently working on obtaining my PhD in School Psychology at the University of Cincinnati.
Experience
I taught abroad in Guyana, South America for one year after I graduated from college. After that, I joined the Ohio Reading Corps where I provided literacy interventions for students in grades K-3 in accordance with the Third Grade Reading Guarantee. I fell in love with education during my time in Guyana which is why I decided to pursue a PhD in School Psychology. I have taken courses like Academic and Cognitive assessment, in which we learn effective teaching methods that we will use to consult with teachers in our future role as a school psychologist. I currently tutor three times a week in the Winton Woods school district as part of the school psychology program requirements. During this, I deliver an evidence-based early literacy intervention for Kindergartners. I have worked with students of all ages and love thinking of creative ways to teach material so that students stay engaged in academic learning time!
