Experience
I'm currently employed as a Lead Engineer at GE Aviation in Cincinnati, OH. I design mechanical and electromechanical instrumentation systems for gas turbine engines. Prior to GE, I worked for several years as an IT systems and data center engineer. I have tutored informally in the past, mostly classmates of mine at both the high school and college levels. It has always been very rewarding for me to help people break through and understand concepts with which they've previously struggled. In my professional life as an engineer, I interact every day with people from a variety of backgrounds - both technical and non-technical - and I know from experience how to patiently and clearly communicate complex material. I believe that many more people can understand at least the fundamentals of math and science than think they can, with the right help.
