Education
I am a certified math teacher K7 through 12 and I have taught math for over 20 years. During the twenty years of teaching I have made a difference in many students' lives. I helped students improve their math skills by showing them how to go from where they are to where they needed to be in their computational skills. I have done classroom teaching, home school teaching, and before & after school tutoring. I helped a lot of students by working with them one to one. At the beginning of 2010, I decided to retire from the classroom but I want to keep on working with our students who need help with their math skills. I can tutor basic math, prealgebra, algebra I, algebra II, geometry I, geometry II, Trigonometry, Statistics and precalculus. I have tutored students in their homes within the eyesight and earmarks of their parents or grand parents as well as in public libraries and in fast food restaurants. I want to do math tutoring because it is amazing to see smiles on students' faces when, after working with them on one to one, a light turns on in their mind about concepts they were struggling with before.

EXPERIENCE 2005- 2010 Life Skills Center Cincinnati. Cincinnati Ohio. Math teacher grades 9-12 I taught Arithmetic, Algebra I and II, Geometry and prepared students for the OGT math test. I was a consultant math teacher for other teachers who taught the basic math classes. 2001-2005.Greater Cincinnati Community Academy. Cincinnati Ohio. I taught Arithmetic and Algebra grades 1-8. I was also the home school teacher for kids who could not properly function in normal classroom situations. 2000-2001 Mt Health School District. Cincinnati Ohio. Resident substitute teacher for Mt Healthy North and South middle schools. I also taught math at Mt Healthy High School, and I home schooled kids who could not function well in regular classroom situations. I also helped kids on one to one basis in after school program working with kids who needed extra help to improve their math grades. 1999-2000 St Antoninus Parocnial School. Cincinnati Ohio. . I taught a math program for the gifted kids and another program for students who needed more time to grasp the basic math concepts. 1996-1999 Great Oaks school system, Substitute teacher. I taught Algebra Geometry Arithmetic grades 9-12.. I taught summer school Algebra make up courses at Live Oaks 1997, and at Scarlet Oaks in 1998. I wrote and taught applied math courses at Scarlet Oaks to culinary, business and hotel management students. I have renewed my teaching certificate for 07/01/2010 - 06/30/2015.
